We welcome you to visit the Forest Welcome Center, which serves as the Forest headquarters and home to the Athens Ranger District office. We’re open 8 - 4:30, Monday through Friday. Stop by to learn more about all the recreational opportunities the Forest has to offer. We have more than 300 miles of trails available for hiking, all-terrain vehicle riding, mountain biking, and/or horseback riding.
